Money making formula!? … Sounds spooky… isn’t it?

But really… making money online is no big deal. However a systematic approach is necessary. Knowing what you want to do before you even start is crucial.

While I leave you with the specialist to do that job (and I highly recommend you go read it) I am going to pour in some of my thoughts that I have gathered along the way on this journey to online marketing that should help you figure out that making money online is no rocket science.

• The No. 1 online business killer is ‘Your Casual Approach’. Yes… nothing kills your business faster then your casual approach. Everyday there are thousands of new entrepreneurs that dream of starting their own online business. They are all pumped up the first couple of days and by the time weekend arrives … it’s all fizzled out. Remember, this is just like any other business and it DOES NEED your time and attention. If someone is telling you otherwise, start running in the opposite direction immediately.

• Commit yourself to your online business by spending at least some amount of cash upfront. There is nothing called free lunch. Don’t try to learn to swim from outside the pool. That is not the way to learn swimming. You need to enter the water to learn. The same goes for your online business too. Spend some amount to build a base for your business. By doing that you are getting rid of your casual approach as well as committing yourself. WARNING: Don’t spend your first dollars on ‘get rich quick’ money making schemes. Instead build your business infrastructure like getting yourself a domain name, web space and an auto responder. I learned this the hard way until I signed up with UMC.

• Know your Market, Know your Competition. The last thing you want to find after doing all the hard work is there is no market for your product. On the other hand a good market with fierce competition also does not give you a good edge in your business. The easiest way to do this is through Micro Niche Finder. • Outsource as much of your job as possible. Keep your time free for important aspects of your business like marketing. Effective marketing is what will actually put the cash in your pockets. Imagine having a highly impressive, beautiful looking website which does not have any visitors? The equation is simple. No Traffic = No Sales. Generating Traffic and effective marketing is a must and that is something that you have to personally look into and devote your time to it. Keep on testing, tweaking and improving your marketing strategies.

• Register this in your mind very clearly. Online business is not only about selling money making opportunities. In fact ‘Home based Business’ is one of the many things that you can set up your business for. But if you follow my advice of knowing your market and competition before you start your own, you would never touch the ‘money making opportunities’ niche because the competition is fierce. Put all this together and you have a great online business that will earn you night and day on complete auto pilot.
